Youth Advisory Board
Art Clubbers YAB (Youth Advisory Board) is a brand new and exciting opportunity to be part of a growing board of creative young people in London!
We want to know what young people's creative interests are and your ideas how we can bring that to your community; whether that's dreaming up a summer arts festival with live bands and art workshops, starting a young painters society, running a local youth radio show, organising fun field trips to go to see live creative performance shows/exhibitions each month - anything that you believe will benefit young people in your community! We want to hear what you have to say.
This is a great opportunity to gain lots of new skills that will broaden your horizons and act as an invaluable first step into your futures, goals and ambitions. You will be working with other like-minded individuals and have the opportunity to make a real change to your community and have your views heard. We want this to be fun and exciting and have people who share our passion on our team. Here at Art Clubbers, we want to support your creative needs and will help you develop those ideas and make them into a reality.
Art Clubbers have recently become members of Badge Nation, a nationally recognised online badging awards provider. All badges issued by Badge Nation are written using the Cities of learning badging standard which is endorsed by City and Guilds and the RSA. (Royal Society for Arts). These badges can be used on your CV, LinkedIn, social media, website, etc and act as a smart, simple, and visual way of recognising non-accredited learning. There will be different levels of awards depending on the activity you complete with us, for example: participation, demonstration and leadership badges – with leadership being the highest level.
We are also now members of London Youth, a historic organisation running for over 130 years to provide opportunities and relationships between different youth organisations. This means that we are better equipped with things like mental health resources, employment opportunities and funding opportunities so that we can provide exciting events for you.
WHAT YOU’RE SIGNING UP FOR?
4 Formal meetings a year
4 Social events
A Leadership badge endorsed by City and Guilds and the RSA. (Royal Society for Arts)
A Virtual community platform
The Role:
This role is exclusively for young people aged 16-25 from across London where you will prepare, communicate and share ideas with the rest of the board. It is an opportunity to establish your voice in the community by supporting the development of creative activities as well as becoming a representative of your peers and develop your communication and organisational skills.
You will be working alongside members of the team at Art Clubbers and meet quarterly per calendar year to discuss what creative projects you want to take part in, helping to organise and deliver them. Throughout the year, there will also be regular Art Clubbers project meetings where you can also contribute and share your input on current and future projects.
