The Green Entrepreneurs Programme: Week 4

Our fourth week is here! The entrepreneurs are getting stuck into the programme and we are seeing some amazing progress so far!

We started off with a discussion with Hrvoje Kondzic, Heart Centred Strategy and Business Development Freelancer, about all the different ways businesses can be financed. Phie McKenzie, Founder of Creative Ally, had an excellent deep dive into developing a marketing strategy for your business. Isabel Sachs, Director of I LIKE NETWORKING, helped get the entrepreneurs started in building a personal profile and brand and what this entails.

We had another fantastic workshop by Hrvoje Konzic, on business sustainability and what it means to have a heart centred business by prioritising profit, people and the planet. Rachael Castell, Director of Our Pledge and David Aula, Director of Unfeasible discussed standardised sustainability metrics and certifications when measuring and sharing your impact as a business.

From Mamta Gera, Leadership Coach & Facilitator, the entrepreneurs learnt how to plan, monitor and control all aspects of a project. An introduction into how to motivate a team to achieve the project objectives in project management.

We had another workshop from Isabel Sachs on the importance of building a network, how to build those connections in person and online. Also understanding how networking can impact your business. Pagan-Lilley Phillips, Accessibility and Inclusion Consultant, came back to continue supporting the entrepreneurs personal and professional brand using Linkedin and other platforms. Also returning for our last session of the week, Phie Mckenzie led a session on crafting your brand ID & tone of voice by focusing on how the entrepreneurs want to address their audience by being visually memorable and consistent.

The programme has been able to build the entrepreneurs confidence with the brilliant support of our amazing workshop leaders! It's so exciting to see what new green businesses are coming to Essex through this programme!
