SYNC Creatives: Week 2!

We began our week with Hrvoje Kondzic on a deeper dive into developing your business. We then had a session by Mamta Gera on emotional intelligence, why it's such an important skill for our personal development and how it can be applied to professional growth.  Sinead Khan discussed how marketing works today and how to overcome cringe!

The following day we had Rachael Castel’s great tips on time management and finding the right model by considering work life balance, using tech for support and understanding ourselves as an individual. Phie Mckensie went through how to build marketing strategy for your business by looking at how to evaluate what goals, how to understand & best cater for a specific target audience as well as measuring your effectiveness. Hadrien Chatelet showed us how to build a success pitch by understanding the power of one's story.

Our last day we joined Hrvoje to discuss the different ways a business can be financed, a great introduction to understanding how this is broken down. Nat Harrison then led a workshop on strategy and goal setting which helped break down the process of setting realistic goals for a business.

We held the Creative panel talk at the Common Press hosted by Dani Chamorro with Aisha Shaibu-Lenoir, Tee Max and Lu Williams. We discussed their work as entrepreneurs navigating the creative industries, challenges they've faced and overcome, how they stay connected to their practice & community and advice they would give to others looking to work within the industry. It was a great space and inspiring to hear about their journeys. We were grateful to have had the opportunity to gain greater insight and advice.

We ended the week with Nathan Ardaiz’s master class on heart centred leadership, understanding why its so important to lead with the heart, how connecting with people through sensitivity and respect is how to create a better world.

It has been wonderful to see the engagement of the cohort this week! We look forward to seeing their confidence build!
